Salbei Care was founded by Gemma Palmer to challenge the corruption, lack of transparency, and depersonalised practices often seen in large care agencies. Her vision was to create a service built on integrity, compassion, and genuine connection — where care is guided by science, empathy, and ethical practice rather than bureaucracy.

Gemma’s Bachelor degree in Developmental Biology and Physiology, combined with postgraduate studies in Diagnostic Genomics, forms the foundation of Salbei Care’s approach. Her scientific training provides a deep understanding of how the body grows, heals, and adapts through illness, while her knowledge in genomics highlights the individuality of each person’s needs.

With over seven years of experience in disability and community care, Gemma integrates this knowledge to deliver support that is both person-centred and evidence-informed. Under her leadership, Salbei Care remains independent and community-focused, prioritising quality, transparency, and trust over corporate scale.
